For those who are keeping an eye on the pork industry, a new
report is hot off the press. Dated December 1999 and titled
"Pork Industry: USDA's Reported Prices Have Not Reflected
Actual Sales" It is a GAO Report to Congressional Requesters
and is numbered GAO/RCED-00-26. The phone number to order is
202-512-6000 or try the GAO's home page at http://www.gao.gov.
The focus is on the farm to retail price spread and it has some
interesting graphs and analysis.
