The 2000 Southern Region SARE Producer Grant Program
Special Marketing Call for Proposals
has been released.
PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5:00 PM JANUARY 28,2000
The Southern SARE Producer Grant Special Marketing Call for
Proposals is designed to encourage farmers, ranchers and
farmer/rancher/producer organizations in the Southern Region to
conduct marketing projects to promote sustainable agriculture.
The Southern Region includes: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina,
Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Puerto Rico
and the US Virgin Islands.
The Southern SARE Producer Grant Special Marketing Grants are
awarded for a maximum of $10,000 for individual producers or
$15,000 for producer organizations, are competitive, and the
projects must promote sustainable agriculture.
This Special Marketing Call for Proposals is an addition to the 2000
Southern SARE Producer Grant Call for Proposals--released in
September 1999--that requests on-farm research projects
conducted by farmers, ranchers and farmer/rancher organizations
that promote sustainable agriculture. Proposals for both Calls for
Proposals must be received by 5:00 PM January 28, 2000.
