For heaven's sake, it is December 11, 1999. A little late for promoting a
"Getting ready for Y2K" course, don't you think?
We can divide up people's minds into three groups. One, is those with such an
unfettered faith in technology that Y2K problems simply cannot happen.
Two, those who want the status quo to be royally shaken up.
And three, those who are simply disconnected from the real news of the
disruptions we shall face next year.
Groups one and two, filter whatever news they receive for their own
psychological comfort.
Group three is simply a product of our times.

What will happen will happen, regardless of our comfort slant or ignorance.
