ORGANIC FARMER TO SPEAK ON GENETIC ENGINEERING IN AGRICULTURE

Steve Sprinkel, nationally known organic farmer, will speak on the topic
Genetically Engineered Agriculture: Truth and Consequences, this Thursday,
December 9, at 7:30 pm at Local Hero Bookstore, 254 E. Ojai Ave., Ojai, in
the Arcade.

Sprinkel has worked as an organic certifier in Iowa, Texas, and California;
has grown organic row crops and tree crops in California and other states,
and writes a column for the organic agriculture publication Acres USA. He
currently resides in Ventura and farms in Ventura County.
