Thanks to Misha for more interesting reading over the coffee. Dr. G must
be smiling about the growth and effectiveness of the PR/science industry
complex in this country. Hey, anybody know when the film depicting the
readers of "Consumer's Reports" as rats scurring out of the sewers will be
released? ;>)

I especialy liked the part about Dennis Avery's response to the CDC press
release and phone call asking him to cease and desist with his intellectual
dishonesty about E coli risk and the attribution of this dishonesty to the
CDC, he responded "That's your interpretation and I have mine." So the
guy knows he is lying pure and simple. This is not a case of simply being
self-deluded.

Clearly, it's time to get to the heart of the problem and break up the
media conglomerates, reform campaign finance and free the education system
from the boa constrictor embrace of "public/private partnership" finance.
