I am happy to announce that the AEON Foundation of Japan has agreed to
co-sponsor the Internet Conference on Material Flow
Analysis of Integrated Bio-Systems, March-Oct 2000 (see
http://www.ias.unu.edu/proceedings/icibs/ic-mfa for scope, conference theme
and other instructions). A portion of the funds received will be used as
awards for the presentation of papers with authors or co-authors from
developing countries. About 25 awards of 150 US$ are available and intended
to cover costs related to the preparation and presentation of papers as
well as to encourage local colleagues to participate.
Please take advantage of this award opportunity to present a paper !
So far; 10 abstracts (P1-P10) in the tentative list (below) of titles of
papers have been approved and the rest are in the review process.

2nd CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We are looking for another 20 abstract submissions and would like to invite
you to consider making a presentation of your work that can quantify the
flow of materials through integrated bio-systems in one of the 11
conference themes (see http://www.ias.unu.edu/proceedings/icibs/ic-mfa).
The deadline for the 2nd Call for Abstracts is 31 Dec. 1999.
A final call of abstracts will be released in January 2000.
SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT
An abstract should not be more than 1 page in size and may contain text,
table, diagrams, etc. It should include the title of paper, full name(s)
postal and email address(es) of author(s), summary and keywords.
Please send your abstract(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Planning Group of the
Conference. Authors should wait for formal notification of acceptance of
the abstracts before proceeding into the preparation of the full paper(s).
