I don't doubt that the news release that you posted is genuine, but I
haven't seen it in my newspaper (no surprise - small city paper), nor in my
news magazine (U.S. News & World Report), nor on the nightly news (national
or regional). Now, I don't get to watch the news every night, so I might
have missed it. On the other hand, if the hundreds (soon to be thousands)
of other protesters also go on a hunger strike, I bet that'll get the
national media out of bed.
