Just saw an EXCELLENT piece on PBS's NewsHour, about 25 min past the hour
here on WETA in DC, by Spencer Michaels in S.F. Bay Area featuring Alice
Waters of Chez Panisse, beautifully describing the benefits of
buying/cooking/eating locally grown, "mostly organic" produce. Followed by
an interesting discussion by food writers and a chef about related trends
today. Take time from your preparations for tomorrow's feasts & family to
watch this program! And while I'm at it, I give thanks to the people who
grow our food and the folks all over the country and the world who are
working to connect us all together.
