Any regulation that does not let the public know what they are getting
with a label is not enough. Bottom line the one that eats it should get
to know. The more they don't want to label it the more scared I get. Why
don't they want me to know which food has been altered and which has not.
What makes it so bad is that the news tells us they are Genetically
altering our food but I don't see any labels. I heard the news today
that within 2 weeks genetically engineered tomatoes will hit the west
cost can't tell them from the pure tomatoes. Great ! Genetically
engineered corn soon to follow. There is a lot of difference between
genetic breeding and actually changing the DNA. Some think its a mute
subject but everyday something else pops up. Slow it down at least long
enough to put a label on your invention. Look at the tomatoes I invented
can't tell them from the real thing except the ones I made are more
juicy,bigger,cleaner and you get a free extra virus gene that I also
invented. You'll never know the difference. only the farmer that can
pay me my price will know the difference. If you want to compete and be
sustainable you have to pay me. Everyone wants bigger juicer cleaner
tomatoes and without a label soon we will have the market sown up. hey
throw them old tomatoes seeds away. What good will pure tomatoes be
without a label to tell them from the ones with the extra growth hormone
or virus gene. you want to stay in bussness you will have to buy my
invention. Will the people that grow pure food be able to even be in
sustainable agriculture. Will organic farmers be able to sell genetically
engineered altered food? Whats the law there. If I don't use chemicals
to farm and farm organic can I start with a seed that has be altered and
the genes have been changed and still call myself organic.Can I still label
the food organic ? Why or why not? Years of learning how to breed plants
and graft to get a great fruit forget it now they just alter the DNA.
They put in the gene God forgot. Kind of makes you think they are playing
God if we like it or not. Mute subject forget it they are just getting
started. And everyone is justified in their own eyes.
the right thing to do is label it for what it is.
