Seeking on-farm apprenticeship

I am an agroecology student, looking for an apprentice-type situation
on an organic farm this summer. Briefly, I want to start my own
farm after I finish my degree, but, like most Americans, have very
little experience with farming. I am hardworking and physically fit,
and would be willing to work for very little pay or even for room
and board, if the situation seemed appealing enough. I prefer to be
west of the Rockies; other than that I am extremely flexible. I can start anytime and will be available until mid-September.
