Meg thanks for your concern. I have been getting lots of private mail and
would like to take this time to
thank all of you. Being an organic farmer that stuff
runs off my back like water off a duck. . I know there are lots
smarter people than me on the internet in fact I hope so. I also wish
there was an organic maillister. I know it would be small because there
are not too many of us. I dont want to make people mad but would like to
talk to other like minded folks. I know science takes offense with us
organic people and think we are fanatics. And yes we are. I know
millions upon millions like the food cheep, clean, and in perfect shape and
size. I dont want to take that choice away from them . I dont want to ban
anything Im not smart enough to be the one to do that. I know very little
about synthetically compounded fertilizers,pesticides,or growth
regulators. Being organic from the beginning I learn to farm from Organic
Gardens, and California Certified Organic Farmers and they never talk much
about those things except to say donnot use them! I realize that most of
technology would be glad if the organic farmer would just disappear after
all they have to justify there position. Most the people on this
listserver are way off into technology and can easily make me look wrong .
There are not very many that agree with me. I think to understand the BGH
genetically engineered hormone thing you have to be able to understand
organic material(of plant or animal origin) and non-living matter. So I
would like to quote Petrik in his book Understanding the soil processes
frist E. Schrodinger the Nobel Prize Laureate as he writes in What is
Life The course of life processes in living matter is controlled by the
most highly organized group of atoms, which in turn comprise only a small
fraction of the atoms in a cell. This astonishing gift of an organism to
subordinate to a code of order and discipline and so avoid it
disintegration into atomic casos, correlates to the presence of strong
aperiodic formations of chromosome molecules. Undoubtedly these are
associations of the highest order known. Each atom has its own individual
task. According to the conclusions of Scharrer and Schrodinger in The Roll
of Trace Elements of Biochemistry the fundamental base of living matter
depends on two major properties. first an aperiodic build-up of molecules
wherein no molecule is either similar, identical or repeatable. Further,
each molecule has its own individual,non-changeable physiological
function. Second, each atom and each group of atoms inside a molecule has
its own function and task as well. This then is coupled with a position
of atoms inside the molecular structure exactly as nature designated. If
an outside influence in the form of poisons or antibiotics or growth
regulators affects this high organization there special function inside
the molecule will be altered. An expert will call this mutation or an
isomeric form of an aperiodic firm body in gene. With these changes then
will also be a change in physiological function. This means disease and
loss of natural resistance or weakening of the immune system. The property
of these conditions is that the mutative changes which originate from the
altered positions of atoms are not detectable by chemical analysis, nether
quantitatively nor qualitatively. Analytical chemistry is usually neither
capable of nor qualified to determine local sequences of atoms and so
cannot define biological quality. Aperiodic atom and molecular
composition in the interpretation of Schrondinger is also the character
and privilege of living matter and the prerogative of life itself. Mr.
Rusch tells it simply Only life can create life. All chemical remedies
even those good and effective are characterized by a periodic build-up of
molecules and are missing the properties and character of life. Modern
chemistry has succeeded in producing many chemical bonds over a wide
scale. But chemists up to now have not succeeded in putting life into
aperiodic molecular bonds. We are dealing with dead substances and not
aperiodic living matter. This was all taken from Petrik Understanding the
soil process no way could I ever think of all this so dont think these are
Sals words just my beliefs.. Even primitive,one-cell organism, yeast can
produce a large amount of valuable ferments, enzymes, amino acids and others
in a short time. Synthetically produced cannot assimilate there is no
life.. There is so much we can tell and learn from mother nature and her
millions of living creatures. This reality is the base used by the
bio-organic farmer in the treatment of his soil and the production of his
food stuff. Conventional farming, chemically oriented and engineered
knowingly or unknowingly neglects and eradicates this natural system.
Albert Schweitzer said Reform yourself . Follow the laws of life, before it is
too late. Hey whats the chance of getting an organic mail listserver
where us organic farmers few that we are can talk and quote and learn from
eachother and not take the time away from those that dont agree. Man has
not yet fully penetrated these life processes. They present a labyrinth
for him. Researchers are presently making determined attempts to alter
genes. no one know the consequences of such infringement. . These life
processes are taking place not only in the human body but in animals and
plants as well as foodstuffs obtained from them. Thus we are
manufacturing danger for ourselves if we produce food and remedies from
improper feeding animals and improper fertilization of soils. Improper,as
here used means interference with the dependence of individual life
processes and their reactions, without knowing the final consequences and
outcome of such actions. Its not nice to fool mother nature.
.. Don't panic eat organic
