Project Organizer -- Biologically Integrated Orchard Systems -- CAFF Foundation
A new project has been developed for Merced County almond growers who wish to
reduce their use of pesticides and/or synthetic fertilizers. This project,
"Biologically Integrated Orchard Systems" or BIOS, is coordinated and sponsored
financially by the Community Alliance with Family Farmers Foundation (CAFF
Foundation). This project gives farmers the opportunity to learn how to manage
orchards using cover crops, beneficial insects, and other biological practices.
