SustAg and liberal arts

That's a great start, Jennifer, but I think the idea is that such a
class would be taught maybe in history or some other VERY mainstream
liberal arts area. Well, maybe the basic science classes count as
"liberal arts" too, and maybe this is where the U of MD class is
taught (one of those not-so-scary science classes that science-phobes
take to get a particular requirement out of the way). Here's
another idea: Maybe such a class could also be an interdepartmental
class. Most of the fields of study have something to do with
agriculture in one way or another. It would be nice to see ag
brought out as a topic in a number of them, not just the traditional
Ag School fields (like soil science). That's my opinion.
