Subject: National Organic Standards Act
There has been a tremendous amount of "back-and-forth" about USDA organic
certification by this group. And with the re-proposed rule due out sometime
soon, perhaps someone could help us with the context within which it was
developed. To wit...
When the National Organic Standards Act was enacted by Congress, who
testified for it? Which private sector groups promoted the need for it?
Did any organic farmers testify for it? Or against it?
