I just have a quick question about light bulbs in the barn.
Do any of you use the full spectrum lights which are supposed to imitate
daylight in your barns? Because of where our farm is located, it gets dark
here early and we like to leave the lights on in the barn for the cows. The
recommended amount of light per day that I have been told cows need is 18.
The kind of lights I am talking about are the ones they recommend for humans
to use in the winter that suffer from daylight deprivation. I was wondering
if they made any for barns (tubes or bulbs) and where I could get them. If
anyone has any information on these lights I would appreciate a reply. Of
course, if you've tried them and found positives or negatives I would love to
hear from you.
thank you,
Lise Monaghan
