Hello SANET subscribers,

In order to improve a paper we are revising on the future of farming
systems research and extension (FSR/E) in the US and Canada, Hal McArthur
and I am looking for information on courses taught or training programs
regularly conducted at US and Canadian universities that include FSR
theories and methodologies.

If you are (or have been) involved in such a course or training program,
could you send me some basic information including:
Title of the course/training
Instructor(s)
When did it start (year)
How often is it taught/conducted
Typical mix of students (Graduate/undergraduate/combination)
Typical number of students
What is the role of FSR in the course (primary focus, one of several
components, mentioned but not covered in any depth, etc.)
Any other information you could provide that would help us better
understand the goals, structure and expected outcomes of your
course/training.

For courses/trainings that are no longer offered, could you provide the
last year of the course/training and a brief comment on why it was
discontinued.

Please reply directly to me, Michael Robotham, at mikerobo@hawaii.edu. I
will gladly post a summary of the results to the list or send them directly
to others who are interested.

Please contact me if you would like additional information on the goals and
structure of our analysis or would like a copy of the final paper.

Thank you for your help. If you know of others who are involved in courses
and/or trainings that include FSR, please pass along this message.

Sincerely,

Michael Robotham

PS My apologies for cross-postings
