Anybody point me in the direction of places that document the CLA level of
grass fed chicken eggs? Also, are these people going to admit that store
boughten, industrialised food is generally of very poor quality with regards
to freshness? Its a symptom of the system and all the research in the world
is not going to change the number of steps and middle man that our non
direct to consumer food system has created.
Its time for change--both on the farm and at the land grants.
Best wishes,

PS still making enemies I'm afraid....oh well..I don't have to be PC as I
don't have to worry about industrialised ag funding pouring in or not
because of my lack or desire to promote their agenda. When are the experts
going to get around to talking about the economic, environment, and social
devestation these industrialised food complexes are creating? Andy Lee
summed up the economics so well of free range versus confinement eggs. Hogs
are the same way. Milk cows are too. Its interesting to see who has what
to gain with the continued consolidation of agriculture. Do the experts not
care about the very people they are supposed to be serving?

I was told by a professor here (UGA) in the poultry program that not
only was there no difference between pasture and caged birds, but
that the only explanation for people who buy organic is "some people
with a lot of discretionary income find some (ehem) very
*interesting* ways to spend it." There is definately a strong
paradigm (dogma?) here at the landgrants which make it rare to hear a
differing opinion/answer, no matter what contrary evidence may be out
there. When seeking guidance from these places, that should be kept
in mind. Anita
