Free use of group notes

A couple of days ago I mentioned that this web address
(www.bagelhole.com) was gleaning information from the various
usegroups. They seem to think that if information is freely given
over one group's listings, it's available for anyone to use once
posted.
My understanding has always been that a post is more or less like
a letter to a person. If the sender gives permission, it can be
posted or read elsewhere, but the originator of the post (and the
recipiants) should have some knowledge about where it's going.
Any comments. (No one chose to comment on my first post, but
now that a follow up has arrived, maybe someone else has a view.)

Questions: Looking through your lists, and an impressive account
of
fact and 'how to's here. I noticed 'micha' a person who regularly
posts on a couple of usegroup lists I'm on had submitted something
here. I was wondering where you get your info, is it with the author's
knowledge? (Did Micha mind that you quoted her extensive
maggotry
knowledge?)>>

Dear Addy, all these ideas are gleaned from the internet. I am
assuming people are sharing these ideas because they want
people to
know. This alleviates me from the task of having to get permission
from everyone ( I know I need permission where copywrited). I try to
credit it wherever possible. This list is not about personalities ,
its about sharing info in the most efficient manner possible. Its a
site that is for everyone, to the glory of none. I hope you
understand, Tom O
