i'm not sure exactly what dale intends by "most people" . . . while we have
some measures of public concern about gmo's, we do not have very good
measures of people's bases for their concern or for their concerns
specifically about Bt gmo's . . .
but if we set aside literal interpretations of "most people" and look at the
public discourse about Bt gmo's, then pest resistance has been very
prominent -- in usepa's approval (see mandated refugia), in academic reviews
(see north central research committee 205), and in activist literature (see
e.g. rissler and whalon report from union of concerned scientists)
