With only two weeks remaining before the November 1 deadline, the
nomination process for American Farmland Trust's $10,000 Steward of the
Land Award is rushing to a close. Farmers and nominators must act now to
be considered for the annual award.
American Farmland Trust, a national non-profit farmland conservation
group, is looking for nominees who use environmentally sound farming
practices, work to support policies for farmland protection, and exhibit
leadership by protecting their own farm from development.

Nominations must be received by mail or fax at AFT's national office by
Monday, November 1, at 5 p.m. EST. Be sure to allow time for mail or use
