1999 NORTHEAST REGIONAL CSA CONFERENCE JUST AROUND THE CORNER

REGISTER NOW FOR THE CSA CONFERENCE OF THE MILLENNIUM!

(See registration form below, or check out our website
www.justfood.org)

In mid-November hundreds of farmers and food-aware citizens
will gather in Tamiment for the second Northeast CSA
Conference. Designed to celebrated and advance the growing
Community Supported Agriculture movement in our region, the
conference offers farm tours (already sold out!), dozens of
hands-on workshops, wonderful regional food, a CSA poster
context, exhibits, roundtables and music. Most of all, the
conference will provide a tremendous opportunity for a very
diverse group of people to share ideas for building a more
sustainable food system that supports farmers, enhances the
natural environment, creates jobs and provides incredibly
high-quality food to nearby folks, through CSA.

Marty Strange, founder and former program director of the
Center for Rural Affairs, will bring his considerable
experience and insight in sustainable agriculture to a rousing
keynote speech to open the conference. And knowledgeable,
inspiring farmers, CSA members and agency folks will bring
their wisdom to the interactive panels and workshops that form
the heart of the conference. The conference will be held at
Taminent Resort in the Poconos area of northeastern
Pennsylvania - roughly in the middle of the region that
stretches from Maine to West Virginia. The facilities include
plentiful meeting spaces, a lake front and nearby woods for
walks in the fresh autumn air, swimming pool, sauna and even
massage! But all of this will be just the backdrop for a two
and half day conference that will bring together hundreds of
CSA farmers, members, other folks who are active and
interested in the CSA movement.

The Northeast CSA Conference begins Thursday November 11th and
runs through Saturday November 13th. The final deadline for
registrations is October 22nd, the registration fee is $60 per
person.

Register now, while it only costs $60! (After October 22nd,
the conference costs $100). See registration below. For
program details, check out our webpage: www.justfood.org.
