Folks: let me thank Dennis for his helpful input. I would second his thoughts
on handling, in particular on meat quality. This is one area where grass-fed
stock may be at a distinct disadvantage, because they may well be more stressed
than feedlot cattle at the process of loading, unloading, mixing/sorting etc.
simply because they are not accustomed to the concentration of stock, proximity
to humans etc. Ann
