Corn breeders may also be a good source of info, since they have to
maintain varietal purity. I have heard local (ie, Philippine) breeders
say they need an isolation distance of 500-800 meters.

I've also come across recent news about a study by Greenpeace-UK which
found that GE-rape pollen were found in beehives 4.5 km from the
nearest GE-rape site.

I presume it also depends on what level of purity you want: 100%?
99.9%? 99%?
