The Food Project, a nationally recognized youth and community development organization in
Lincoln and Roxbury, Massachusetts has several employment opportunities. Urban
Agriculture Production Manager will maintain 2 acres of land in Roxbury, MA, including
the planning, growing, marketing, and distribution of produce for shelters for soup
kitchens, and farmers' market. Facilitate volunteer work days and educate youth on
sustainable agriculture practice. This is a full-time, full year position with health
insurance. Salary $25,000/year. Must be able to start no later than January 1, 2000.

Two Grower's Assistants are also needed to work at our 21 acre farm in Lincoln, MA.
Should have high energy for and interest in sustainable agriculture and youth, as well as
a commitment to teamwork. The Grower's Assistants will be an integral part of the
growing, marketing, and distributing of produce to shelters, soup kitchens, CSA, and
farmers' markets. This is a full time, temporary position from April-
November, 2000.Worker's compensation; $350/week dependent on housing.
