Hal, thanks for this good observation. I sure have a lot to say
about ag curriculum in the classroom. I'd especially like to know
just what is so public about the research done these days in the
land-grant universities and whose agenda the funding public thinks is
being served (uh, assuming people in the "funding public" think about
these things...). I happen to be quite happy with the project I
am fortunate to be working on at this university, but I know it is
just an exception to the rule. And I find that rule quite worrisome
(as should small farmers, ecologists, and anyone else interested in
environmental and social justice...) Anita
