Subject: Re: Monsanto & India
Dear Lawrence London,
I saw your recent post on Monsanto and India. I am a reporter with The
American Spectator magazine in the US, and I'm doing a story that
touches on Monsanto's problems in India (which they company strenuously
denies).
Could you point me to any supporting documentation, or forward me
relevant news clips, which lay out some of the accusations in your post?
What (who?) is the Monsanto Quit India campaign?
Did their public meeting in front of the Monsanto seed plant take place?
Have their been other instances where Indian farmers have attacked
Monsanto facilities in India?
Are you aware of any intervention by the Indian government to protect
Monsanto? (I am specifically looking into allegations that Monsanto
bribed Indian officials. If you have any details on that, I'd be very
interested).
I am on a rather tight deadline - next 24 hours or so. So any help would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards
Kenneth R. timmerman
