Greg: I recall a conference presentation I heard once while speaking in
Alberta. The ag economist at the lecturn stated that beef was both the fastest
growing import AND the fastest growing export in Canada. How can this be?
Because the beef exported was "raw material" beef, as in calves, while the beef
imported was "value-added, finished product" beef in the form of meat. Need to
be aware of the subtleties of the stats. Ann
