I'm asking! We have a field of about 10 acres due to poor management by our
tenant it's over run in assorted weeds. While we don't have time to take
over the whole field, we are thinking of 3ish acres. It has an assortment
of weeds mostly jimson and I can't think of the name of the other one (my
husband is the weed expert). It has sort of oak leaf sized leaves and
thorns, my husband says it has tap roots. What would be the best cover crop
for this fall. If we decides to take on this project, we will plant
pumpkins there next year.
And while we're on the subject aren't there pumpkin growing "tricks" such as
planting red clover between the rows? Thanks Beth
