Misha: Thank you for providing references re malathion. Just what I was
looking for. I sat down tonight to do my malathion research, but thought
I would check my email first and there you were.

I am a resident of New York City and am mad as hell millions of us are
subjected to such widespread spraying. And I have read and heard
conflicting reports as to when and how (aerial vs truck) my neighborhood
was being sprayed.

NYC had to get the spray from Suffolk County because there was none on
hand. Another case of the bureaucrats, due to budget constraints,
sloughing off mosquito control over the last few years and then going
for overkill. All summer long I have seen only one mosquito; we have
been in drought most of the season. I can't argue against select
spraying of wet areas where mosquitos breed but not miles of concrete
and buildings.

I hope the political cartoonists will be picturing the Mayor as the
mosquito he is. Although he says the spraying is safe, read in one of
the newspapers "even if you should be sprayed on", I don't see him and
his aides volunteering.
