Tom Allen, In response to your e-mail to me.

Wrong enemy #1: We both have something in common--the early death of our =
fathers from cigarette smoking and the ill effects there of. The other =
thing we have in common is that we are both alive and have not succumbed =
to the effects of GM foods. Is the tobacco or GM foods worse? Two =
dead; two alive. Maybe by your account that is a "draw." But I still =
see it differently.

Wrong enemy #2: I have lobbied for the inclusion of data for the =
consumer to read on the label of meat products. The proposed label =
should list the all of the steroids, hormones, and growth additives in =
feed product given to animals for human consumption. These efforts have =
fallen on deaf ears so far to date. You will get the same response when =
you ask for the GM labels. We have spent almost all of our savings to =
raise the Ostrich which does not have any of the above (growth =
additives) and we do not feed any animal by-products to the birds (mad =
cow disease). The world is just too busy "counting their money" to give =
a damn about these issues and the few of us with the energy and time and =
money must make a decision as whether to continue onward or quit.

I have in my lifetime seen the females of our species develop at 14-15 =
years old when I was growing up, to now where the development is 9-10 =
years. Folks, I do not know of a child who is 3 years out of first =
grade who is ready for the mantle of womanhood. This has a direct =
cause: eating meat (chicken, beef , and other meats) laced with =
steroids, hormones, and growth stimulants . Where did the growth =
hormones come from? The feed of course... Same story... Nobody gives =
a damn, they are all to busy counting their money.

And please do not give me the standard answer "My child is developing =
early because she just has big bones." B.S. Although the people who =
read these pages may not agree (and generally disagree) on the course of =
proceeding, we are probably some of the few people on the face of the =
earth who really give a big damn. We all care but just have different =
opinions. God bless sanet people.
