It appears to me that the Consumer alert group is a front for the National
Consumer Coalition, which has 25 or so other groups (I didn't check them all,
but most are not as much consumer groups as "business/chemicals good,
science/scientists bad" groups. www.junkscience.com touts the efficacy and
importance of DDT!)
Atlas foundation (one of the members of NCC)
--"relies on contributions from private foundations, corporations, and
individuals that share a commitment to the future of the free society. "
--"When I want to get in touch with a market-oriented person or organization I
first check Atlas's web page."

Member of the Mont Pelerin Society
President of the Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland

these are copied from their webpage

These organizations are several layers deep in keeping keeping their funding
sources from public knowledge. . .

Americans for Tax Reforms-- a group associated with Town Hall, whose member
groups (another one of these _very_ deep "Covers") include the Christian
Coalition, the Oliver North Radio Show, Family research Council, and others
(nothing wrong with conservatives per se, until they start messing with Science)

Capital Research Center (NCC member) doesn't show it's own funding sources, but
does give a link to corporate sponsors of Planned Parenthood on the top
webpage. (does list Trustees, most of which come from other "Foundations")

Citizens against Gov. Waste (NCC member, Town Hall member) lists many "Wasteful
projects" (many of which are environmental programs, such as aquifer treatment
programs, coral reef studies, environmental education, etc.)

I'll not go on, because it's not completely relevant to this listserver. Just
thought you should know
