This is really bothering me. I know the question came up on sanet a
few weeks ago, but did we ever establish whether or not this study
exists? I know Dennis Avery was touting such a study at the very
beginning of this year. He was quoted in the Wall Street Journal,
and it was picked up by the Times. But Times food/consumer writer
Marian Burros debunked the whole thing, explaining that there WAS NO
SUCH STUDY! (I think it was specifically supposed to be about e coli
contamination.)

So is this another study? Did the CDC take Dennis' cue and __do__ a
study? Does anyone out there know?
