I have been invited to participate in the following workshop to discuss and
develop approaches in organic farming research methodologies. The workshop
is on one hand a consolidation of ideas to date and on the other hand a step
in the continuing development of the most relevant and useful approachs to
solving and documenting solutions to organic farmers' questions and needs.
I would appreciate any thoughts, papers, innovations you may have on the
subject of organic farm reseach methodologies relating to the following four
areas of the parallel sessions.
The parallel sessions are as follows:
§ Improving organic farming techniques to reduce the environmental impact
(facil.: L. Phillips - UK)
§ Networking and organic pilot farms (facil.: U. Zerger - IT/DE)
§ Improving animal welfare and health (facil.: Ton Baars - NL)
§ Strategies for higher producer value in organic farming systems (facil.:
O. Schmid - CH)
This is the requested format for formal introduction of papers:
"INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Parallel sessions handouts: max. two A4 pages, single spaced, Times 12,
text/graphics for inclusion in the proceedings.

I am willing to convey developed concepts as composed on paper to the group
meeting.
I can receive them via email message anytime up to Sunday, the 3rd. I
apoligize for bringing this so late to your attention, but farming is time
consuming.
The Humane Society US along with Ripplebrook Organic Growers has provided
assistance for the travel expense and US/FAO has provided the room and board
for the meeting. A report concerning the thoughts and proposals from the
meeting will be provided shortly after its termination.
Best regards,
