On the subject of the CDC and organic food safety...
After one of D. Avery's articles stating that there was a higher risk of
food-borne illness from organically grown foods, I contacted the CDC to
get a copy of the report. I wanted to see how the research was conducted.
The CDC issued a statement that they have never conducted a study to evaluate
the relative risk of organic vs. conventionally grown produce. So to my
knowledge there is no REAL data on this subject....
