Does anyone recall a survey done by a national polling organization
which showed that some 50% of consumers were concerned about safe food
issues and that many of them were willing to pay more for organic and
sustainable food? It may have gone on to say that the consumer felt
that the small farmer was the best source of info on food safety.
I may be confusing sources and polls, or the information may have been
part of a larger news article.
A small rancher friend and I were talking about it, and if my memory is
even somewhat accurate, I'd like to get her info on this.
