Dear SoR

I think I would agree with your message were it not for the fact that there
seems to be (from six months observation) a deep divide between participants
in the discussion group, deeply affecting how they think about the land. I
held back from contributing for quite some time. I think there are arguments
either way: you can have a sulky 'us and them' sort of environment and talk
about everything except your deepest motivation, or you can search for some
understanding. I think in the end the less schizoid, though more
exasperating, approach, of sharing minds, is preferable. Though the 'Time
out' thread does not seem to involve too much mind-sharing, I must confess.
The problem with short messages is that they tend more often to involve
smart cracks from minds often unwilling to share.

I regret the length of my last piece, but it did bear substantially upon
agricultural issues at the end. Perhaps I should have flagged that at the
front!

Excuse me for interupting, but wouldn't a better forum for religious
debate be better served by a newsgroup FOR religious debate? I would
think that a newsgroup/forum on sustainable agriculture and like
subjects is not the best place for an on-going debate such as the one
refererenced. There seems to be a lot of this religious debating on
sanet that we have to delete through to find posts on the subjects we
came to this forum for.
