I've gotten a passel of queries about CIAS's "meal tickets," and
thought a mass update would be of use, since this will be a rather
stressed week for me, and my networking time is likely to plummet.
John Hendrickson and I are working on two topics, as I said: energy
use in the food system, and where the food dollar goes. These are
very BRIEF publications--designed to pique the interest of and
educate a general audience, and are modeled on our /Power Eater's
Guide/, which was very well received.
Now that I once again have the ability to access the UW-Madison
server (after three months of working with Pacific Bell to get DSL
networking installed in my apartment), I can make commitments
regarding Web materials. We will be putting these publications on the
CIAS Web site when they're complete. Early October is the goal, and
PDF and TXT versions are the plan.
If you want paper copies of these, you can either download them from
the Web and duplicate them yourselves, or write to us at CIAS for
copies. You can also feel free to use what we've done as a model for
your own area.
peace
