Scripture discussion

Hello everyone,
The scripture discussion was interesting. Hey, I found a Bible verse which
struck me as very *a propos* for those of us working against land
consolidation and farmland loss: "Woe to those who join house to house and
field to field until there is no one, that they may be alone in the midst
of the land!" (Isaiah 5:8)

Would anyone be interested in an off-list or limited-list discussion of how
scriptures from many different religions address agricultural or resource
issues? (We could set a time limit of a week or two so this didn't turn
into a whole 'nother listserv.) I am proposing simple comparison ("here's
an example from the Bible, here's one from the Koran, here's one from..."),
not discussion of which is better or true-er. If you're interested, please
e-mail me privately and I'll set it up.
