If you are looking for a small scale grain thresher, try the MacLeod
Harvest system. The company's head office is in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The
MacLeod system works in two parts with a thresher out in the field and a
stationary mill back in the yard. It separates weed seeds, chaff and grain
leaving the straw in the fields. It reduces the spread of weeds by
minimizing distribution during harvest, and these seeds can then be used as
feed. The MacLeod Harvest system will be profiled in the next issue of
Synergy magazine, available from Synergy Magazine Co-operative, Box 8803,
Saskatoon, SK S7K 6S6. For more information call (306)242-4097 or email
