Eugene Canales of Ferrai Tractor CIE, a supplier of appropriate technology
for small farms, will be doing a series of workshops on small scale grain
production at the Mid-Atlantic Biodynamic Food and Farming Conference, Oct
1-3 of this year (see http://igg.com/bdnow/). While he will be bringing some
small scale European grain
equipment with him, he has expressed an interest in getting some other
equipment made available for demonstration at the conference. I know that
he is interested in working out a very beneficial deal with anyone who is
interested in purchasing an Italian reaper/binder or a small combine if
they will pick it up after the show.
This is not meant to be an add for Eugene, it's posted in the spirit of
getting good equipment into the hands of an interested grower at a good
price.
It looks like Greg Shulz of NEWFARMS will be onhand at the conference to
talk about the the small scale grain production coop he has pulled together
out in New Mexico. (It is my understanding that the growers now have their
own bakery.)
