ecoli bacteria

Hi. Hoping someone can help me. I am in contract to purchase a farm and
I just had the water tested. Coliform 23+ and ecoli 5.1. The farm is
fed by two springs (no well) and one spring exclusively feeds the field
and the other goes into the house (and so a UV bulb wouldn't help). I
will be growing organic vegetables and I know NOFA tests for
potability. What I urgently need to know is how bad is 5.1? And is
there any cheap solution to this problem?
