"Thinking Outside the Box" is the theme of the conference of IFSA,
International Farming Systems Association, to be held October 20-23 in
Guelph, Ontario. I'm planning to be there. Anyone else? Check
www.oac.uoguelph.ca/FSR/.

Spirituality is a theme that is outside the academic box. Art, including
music, is another. Some of you saw my act in Toronto, at the AFHVS
conference in June. I am interested in using traditional folk harp music
to promote sustainable agriculture. How? By charm. That is, by enlarging
the comfort zone for dealing with challenging information. Does it work?
You be the judge.

As a street musician, I've been known to rush in where angels fear to
tread, but talking about spirituality on this list is beyond my comfort
zone. However, at the Guelph meeting, I'd like to hear what others are
saying about spirituality and agriculture. So please speak to me when you
are in Guelph. You'll have no trouble finding me, I'll be the guy with the
harp.
