I've been working so hard that I have gotten into trouble
on a list serve in weeks. So now it is Friday and even
though there are many things to do, my mind turns to
stirring things up a bit.
I probably should hesitate since the flaming is rather hot
these days. Hopefully Dale is on vacation or has a real
thick skin. I've visited Dale at his office and in fact he
works with my brother. He is a real nice guy so don't be
so hard on him.
But what I want to stir up, is a discussion about the
spirituality part of sustainable agriculture. My guess is
that most of us have "leanings" that are of a spiritual
nature. We feel like our connection to sustainable
agriculture is somehow linked with what many would call
God. I do not chose that word. I chose the word Creation.
But you may name this knowing that we are all connected to
a great whole what ever you like.
So in my paradigm or construct of the ultimately
unknowable, we are all material beings (have a body) but
each of us has a soul or spirit that is part of Creation.
Thus we are all connected. Connected to one another,
connected to those who have lived before and will live
after us. And most importantly to this group, connected to
the earth, which I believe has a consciousness that is the
gestalt of all the souls that have or will live on her.
Well that is no doubt too much said already. Is there
anyone else out there with a comment?
Peace, kate
