Hello to all...
I hope this is an appropriate forum to post this message.
I will be teaching an Agroecology course at Tufts University this fall and
would like to line up approximately 4 field trips to farms within a
reasonable driving distance of the Tufts campus in Medford, MA. I will be
attending the NOFA conference August 13-15th in Amherst and if possible I
would like to make some connections within the next 2 weeks so that I can
visit the farms during this trip.

I am looking for farms that have examples of the following:
integrated livestock and cropping systems
diverse crop rotations
monitoring of pest populations
on farm experimentation
management of habitat for beneficials
advantageous utilization of on-farm natural resource variability
(e.g. microclimates, soil variability...)

Please share this message with any Boston area farmers that you think
might be interested in giving a tour to a group of 5-15 college
students with varying levels of knowledge about agriculture.
