Ph of the soil is dependent on the base saturation of 4 elements on the
soil colloid; Magnesium,,Potassium, Calcium, and Sodium. Prolly 1 ton
per acre of calcium carbonate lime (fine grind- like flour)wood
help......but,to lime w/o considering the base saturations of these four
elements, can get u into trouble.Your ph could be 6.5 (ideal right?) but
have virtually no Ca,,,,the backbone in all plants..... Id find a soil
lab that w/ analyze the ph in these terms. You might also read books by
William Albrecht and Kinsey available thru ACRES USA.
