Since Lawrence brought up Libertarians, of which I am no expert, course I am
no expert on demopublicans either, but I digress. In a Libertariian
publication I read an article on business or you might say the American
Dream. I think about it often when I read this stuff or even Microsoft
struggles. In short it said that no business can stay in business if the
public does not want what they are selling. Supply and demand you might say,
however and this was a HUGE however, the article went on to say except if
there is government intervention. I am still with Ann though on the why the
government got so involved. I guess you grow up thinking the gov. for the
people etc. and that they got involved to "take care" of the people so
business didn't trample us, but that does not seem so. It seems like for
what ever reason gov. officials choose companies they'd like to make
stronger than they actually would be if the general public was making the
buying decsions. Its sort of strange really, it does seem we'd be better
off with a separation of State and Business. Yikes its compicated. Thanks
Beth
