Just in case any of you have had any contacts with Long Ashton
Research Station in the past. I thought you might like to know the
latest news.
BBSRC, one of our funding providers, are planning on withdrawing
support from the site and transferring all resources and those
scientists who are willing to move to our sister site (Rothamsted near
London). Although we have considerable funding from other sources
this withdrawal will mean that Long Ashton will have to close.
The link below gives more details and an appeal for letters of support
from anyone around the world who is interested in seeing Long Ashton
remain open. We would be grateful for any support that people might
be willing to offer.
