"cityfarmer.org"

is a Vancouver-based movement thats been in operation for about 20 years. They
co-ordinate buying/selling co-ops, allotments, demo gardens, a composting demo
site & CSA-type farming within their region. Their website has links to hundreds
of sites around the world. Some perhaps more applicable, some perhaps less to
your specific objectives....

Subject: greetings and homegardens

Hi,

I'm interested in knowing more about small-scale vegetable production in
urban and urban-fringe areas. I'm especially interested in production and
marketing cooperatives made up of small farmers/gardeners, their needs and
their strategies.

I wonder if any of you are growing and marketing vegetables in urban/urban
fringe settings, working in or organizing co-ops or pondering any of these
things.

I'd appreciate any information, insight you might give me. Thanks and
regards,
Liz Kirchner
