There is a lot of work currently on "biointensive IPM" for sweet corn. Ruth
Hazzard, of the University of Massachusetts, has several publications on
using Bt for European corn borers and a mixture of corn oil and Bt, applied
directly to the silks, for corn earworm. She presented this work at a
Farmer/Scientist conference I organized last December, and I am currently
working on the proceedings of this conference (to appear in print in the
fall). If you contact me directly off SANET, I'll send you a copy of the
session on corn, or I'll send you the citations of Ruth's publications, and
you can get them directly from her.
