Welp, my sweet corn system opens up its niches when the silk appears.
I have'nt used anything yet, no pyrethrum or Bt, although I have both, the
Bt being one for corn borers.
Delaying harvest a little seems to result in more worms.
I am using partially organic methods, i.e. a little chemical fertilizer, but
lots of organic matter application, and no pesticides or herbicides.
So, the question I have is this:
Outside of improving the organic environment, are there any "tricks" or
whatever to stop the worms?
Please note that I have a large garden from which I sell occasionally, and
not lots of acres.
Thanks,
Stephen Maxam
